Will Bernard retire on top of this division..?

If he beats all the top contenders, will he not be content just with that and try a daft move to Cruiser ?

He will keep going until he gets beaten and stopped. Just his nature.

If he can't get the Calzaghe rematch, he will gun for Dawson. If Calzaghe fights Dawson... well, that tremendously limits his options, and he may just wait for a winner. Not sure.

He hasn't said a word since the calzaghe jones fight. He said he was gonna blow it up like tarver did at the press conference following the roy jones ruiz fight. He hasn't even been heard from and I think it's because he knows what losing to Joe Calzaghe again will do to his legacy and Joe's. He knows that if he can't KO joe abruptly then he will lose. No way to beat calzaghe without a sudden KO. If he goes 12 he wins. Hopkins will stay in his shell again and lose a tight decision or he will try to open up against calzaghe and catch a 12 round beating from Joe. Joe Calzaghe's style negates bernard hopkins style and he knows it. That's why he hasn't said anything since the Roy Jones/Calzaghe fight.

I disagree. I think Hopkins really wants the rematch.

Whether he fares any better is another matter of debate, but I believe he wants the fight, and I believe if he lost again it would do absolutely nothing to tarnish his impeccable legacy.

    Hopkins has nothing to lose.

I could live with that, but I'd prefer one of the other two fights.

You're a ****ing idiot. The fight was close and it seemed obvious that bernard landed the clean punches in the fight, and put more hurt on calzaghe than calzaghe did on him.

And who hasn't said what since the Jones/Calzaghe fight? Are you talking about Bernard? **** man the fight was like two weeks ago what are you Hopkins's personal assistant?

Bernard offered to go to Wales to fight Calzaghe, You cant be more interested than that. For Joe to retire with the legacy he wants he has to rematch Nard and beat him convincingly. I dont think he can

Hopkins has consistently taken tough challenges, and continues to do so. I see no reason for him to fear anyone, nor for anyone to accuse him of such.

He has offered to fight Joe on Joe's home soil. Bernard is quite serious.

I want to see Bernard take on Kessler. That should be a hell of a fight. It might be very tactical, but should be so cool seeing how they would each plan this.

Yeah, let's kill American boxing completely! :good

Hopkins is about to retire and has managed to derail one of the big hopes in Kelly Pavlik. IF Hopkins beats Taylor and then retires he will have shot American boxing further down.

If Hopkins were to beat Taylor it would be great for Calzxaghe, but a fiasco for American boxing.

he said live on HBO PPV that he would go to wales how much more of a calling out can you get...He did an interview on bunce's boxing hour immediately after his fight (may even have been directly after jones-joe) saying joe knows he didnt win and that he wants the fight in wales
