"I'd like to thank my friends, family and fans for all of the support over the years but now feels like the perfect time to bow out. On top of the world having made history, not face down like some other fighters"

That is of course a headline and quote which we're not likely to see in the near future, so when do you think is the right time for Bernard to hang 'em up? The next time he loses? After his 'three fight plan'? When he's 50? After a sub-par performance?

    Thoughts? :hey

theres no need for that sensatonalist title, could just ask the question when you think he is going to retire

That sir, is how you troll

In all seriousness I would like to see him fight Ward but its going to be almost another year before thats going to come off. Its a tough one I just wish he could fight a Bute or Ward now or any of the 168ers that will inevitably move up at the end of the S6 I fear another 12-18 months may be too late.

I don't want to see him and Ward cos I fear ward would beat him, solely due to his youth. He's trying to become the new Hopkins and has had a decent amount of success to date but he's nowhere near as charismatic or entertaining as B-Hop. A few years back and Hopkins would school him

Warren seems to be pushing for the Cleverly fight, but I cant see Hopkins being interested. What would he has to gain? Clev is still a nobody in the states. How would you see that fight going though? I like Nathan but he still makes mistakes and I think he should have a few higher level fights before taking on the best in the division

    Lots of little fishies :hammertime

I think it'd be a tad unfair to say someone beat him solely due to their youth as there'd have to be something about them to beat him, even at 46 (even though the age would of course have some affect). Even though Cleverly is still 'young' I'd never pick him to beat Hopkins, even when he's over 50
