Porter darts in and jabs at Thompson's chest, then holds on to him as Thompson tries to shake him off and thrusts a forearm in his face. Porter leaps in and hooks at Thompson's head as the taller man is spinning round to keep up. Double hook to the jaw by Porter as Thompson is leaning down atop him trying to tie up. They tangle up by the ropes and the ref splits them up and guides them to center ring. Flush 1-2 by Porter. Thompson stands straight up, trying to lean over when Porter throws the 1-2 again. Porter is missing. Up-jab from mid-range by Porter. Thompson comes forward and blocks shots. Porter keeps firing the 1-2, and lands one followed by a left hook. Thompson creeps forward, body turned sideways and guard up, but not punching. A couple of hooks reaching in and up by Porter. A couple of jabs stretched out by Thompson. Sloppy exchange before the bell. Flush left hook by Thompson catches Porter rushing in but the little man flurries at him until he folds up. Rabbit punch by Porter.
