Hopkins on points, but I doubt this fight will ever happen, despite B-Hop's claim that he wants the winner of Johnson-Dawson II. Should Dawson lose, I think Hopkins will fight Adamek.
I believe the work rate Johnson is still capable of is too much for Hopkins to overcome at this age. Hopkins did more than well against Pavlik, and deserves the praise he is receiving. Johnson would not fight him the same way. Johnson is more effective at cutting of the ring, and would make this physically grueling for the mid 40 aged Hopkins. I thought that Johnson deserved the win against Dawson. Hopkins' victory over Pavlik may have been more impressive than Johnson's performance against Dawson, but I feel that Johnson's performance is more relative here. Hopkins is very good at setting the pace against anyone he fights. Thats the thing that keeps him looking so good. Hes one crafty SOB. Calzahge basically beat him by being a little smarter than the rest of the fighters out there by figuring out a way to speed that pace up. Johnson is not that man in my opion. Hopkins easy win.
