I actually felt sorry for Holmes being one of the few guys to turn up to the show to find out you're at the bottom.
I've never read anything like that either, and there were seven doctors in attendence to rule upon the shoulder.
Muhammad Ali at a lowly ten does indeed make Bert Sugar look evenkeel. I meant no more, no less. Also, I did not know you had multiple accounts? Why?
I would never put Foreman in the top 10. He lost too much at the high level. Frazier and Norton were devastating wins, but is that enough for top 10? Maybe I am not sure, but many people rank Foreman higher because of his second career.
Even though I disagree with the list, the documentary was great. Although a bit factually inaccurate if I recall as burt makes no reference to Dempsey and Johnson avoiding black contenders. I'm sure he called Brennan, Fulton and Willard the best 3 HW fighters when Dempsey destroyed them. He goes to great lengths explaining how Johnson chased burns all over the country yet skips the fact Langford did the same to him. It was a great watch and probably the show that inspired me to delve into boxing history "how can all these be greater than Lewis" I remember asking. Then I remember coming on here asking why some revered dempsey like a god and others thought he was smoke and mirrors. great documentary though. Seeing him justify to Larry why he's bottom was classic. I'd have put him number 1 had he been sat there.
I am pretty sure that near everyone ranks foreman higher due to his second career. Afterall he knocked out a top 5 hw at 46 to become a title holder once more.
These are the p4p lists that I have from Sugar: BERT SUGAR (2006): 1 Robinson 2 Armstrong 3 Pep 4 Louis 5 Greb 6 Leonard(B) 7 Ali 8 Duran 9 Dempsey 10 Johnson BERT SUGAR (1984) 1 Robinson 2 Armstrong 3 Greb 4 Dempsey 5 Leonard (B) 6 Louis 7 Walker 8 Langford 9 Canzoneri 10 Ali
He don't half have some man love for Dempsey. I struggle when people have him top ten HW let alone top ten p4p.
