  1. Andre... Berto?

Doesn't ring a bell. Is he a promising prospect about to turn pro?

Ever since Berto won that disputed decision against Collazo (which was a good fight) a lot of people don't think much of him, everyone has close fights in thier career and most lose and still go on to achieve big things,

The only not so great effort in my opinion he had was against Urango in which i thought he could have knocked him out, but hey he shut him out so i can't take to much away from him,

Canelo is a good young fighter and could very well beat Andre but i think Berto should try and find a fight where he can put himself in the class of the elite, i.e. Shane, Floyd, Manny or try his hand at 140 if he can't land any of those big fights, thats where the money is for him in my opinion, my bet is he ends up fighting Mike Jones after this upcoming fight though.

That's what I predicted many months back, but Mosley's now heading to Top Rank, and into his last professional fight.

Now that guy Canelo will need a couple of years to be ready for. But yes that would be a great fight.

    Berth alvarez.... I'm 50/50

Alvarez is still 20 if he beats ndou in a good way and tighten his defense... I would say late 2011.

It's 50/50 though... give canelo 2-3 more years to improve his defense and he is gonna be ready for anything.

I'd watch the fight. It would be exciting as hell... but when the **** is Berto going to fight an established name?

My thoughts exactly. Fun fight, but Berto's trash talk is getting sickening when he calls out big names but fights lesser guys instead.

It's not necessarily that I scored the fight for Collazo over Berto, but that Berto talks trash and doesn't back it up. He's been holding that WBC Belt he won whilst it was vacant hostage and milking it. Hell, his team has even said he's not ready for the big names yet even though he's got a title. It's a joke. Once you get a belt, you no longer have that luxury of saying you're "not ready", as far as I'm concerned.

Kirkland would be a good TEST for Canelo... but he's so wide and open defensively that I see Alvarez outclassing him, and knocking him out.

    Kirkland is NOTHING special.

In a couple of years James Kirkland will either be locked up again, or long exposed and KO'd, and just a fringe contender.

The guy is nothing special AT ALL, and with his leaky defense, he's a brutal KO waiting to happen just like Williams.

Only he's not as good as Williams.

I say give Kirkland a few tune ups and let him fight Lemeuix. I can assure you Kirkland would leave on a stretcher.
