Floyd is the reason Mosley is now tied up.... Floyd next best move would be to just retire, a fight with Alvarez will bomb everybody knows that, it would bomb if it took place here for sure....

He kinda gave those up when he got caught with the plaster, However I think the fight would sell based on that alone.... in fact I also think it would be a way for Floyd to sell himself as the good guy, and Margarito as the evil cheating bad guy.....

true, its not realistic but theres more intrigue to it than an alvarez fight,i dont think tony will get a huge fight again except maybe a cotto rematch & thats a long shot imo

A fight with Alvarez wouldn't bomb ... I think that fight will be great ... and it doesn't have to be on PPV or on HBO ... hell that can be a V.I.P viewing closed to TV (old school) and in a 100k stadium they can double the gates of Mayweather v Hatton & DLH.

This is assuming Floyd is willing to go to Mexico, and I wouldnt say that I dont recall many fights of his being out side of Nevada, I know Mitchell was I know Sosa was, but not too many.....

if he goes to Mexico it will be all in support of Alvarez we know that, and your right it wont be on PPV HBO will probably still show it...

but if it takes place here in the US, it wont sell we also know that.

Mayweather/Hoya did a $19 mill live gate. Mayweather/Hatton did over a $10 mill live gate. No way this fight would double the gates of either of these fights. This fight isn't happening anytime soon.

god I wish Berto hadn't taken this fight, I'm a big fan of his but he simply isn't ready for the calibur of fighter Mosley is. He should have just rematched Callazo.

even though i chose berto to win on points, im giving both fighters a 50/50 chance. berto needs to take advantage of his youth, and thats by constantly giving mosley angles and countering at every moment. mosley without a question is gonna be the aggressor throughout the fight, mosleys experience is gonna be the determining factor in this fight. can mosley put down the young berto? or can berto beat him with youth?? its gonna be a helluva fight one way or another.

Berto has to start swimming in the grown up pool at some point. He can't collect vacant title his whole career. No one would respect that. This is as good of a time as ever for him to take a big step up in comp.

I think that Berto can outbox Shane but I don't think he's discipline enough to do that for full 12 round championship fight on a big stage.
