Elaborate on this "ability." He has God-given handspeed. WHAT ELSE? That's not ability. That's not talent.

    He wasn't just hurt.

    He was spent.

He must have taken about 20 flush power shots in half a minute. I don't understand what you mean about it being a premature stoppage.

I don't. Why don't you want fighters to be given a chance to weather the storm?

I could argue all night on this one so we'll just leave it at that.

When asked in postfight, he just goes on about how he's young at 26, rather than calling out the names he should be. He doesn't even want to fight the top guys, it would seem.

I would say he has very good speed, good power and can put in some nice combinations. You have to have some skills to put in good combos. Other than that though, his defense is shitty, as is his footwork, as is his ring IQ. I repeat, if there's no room for improvement, he loses to the top dogs no doubt.

I see your point, but i've never been a fan of warm ups. Always seems risky and more often than not something bad happens like a loss (which won't happen) or a bad cut (likely to happen) which would delay the super fight further down the line.

Also should Pac want a warm up against Berto, i'm pretty sure Mayweather would want another fight pushing the fight back to 2011.

They know it. It didn't happen. They had a good excuse.

Agree and disagree. Power? Not good. But with the handspeed going behind it how could it not be somewhat present? Combos? Wild, ugly, gross, ect. Agree with everything else, CX7.

Yes, I don't understand why you have to argue all night about something so obvious. 'Premature stoppage' gets thrown around like the word 'overated' around here.

The man was spent, couldn't see the punches coming and got hit repeatedly with power shots. When this happens, you stop the fight.

Mosley will put a serious HURT on Berto. They should be glad that one went by the wayside and not try to get it back.

If Quintana and Collazo can rock you with generic straights... Well... Berto knows what's good for him. And what isn't.

Agreed. Berto is extremely predictable, but he's got the speed that lets him get away with it against lower calibre opposition. Is what it is at this point. Until he steps up, and he seems reluctant to do so, we will just see him overpower lesser men in sloppy fights.
