Manny did say Cintron didnt listen to him concerning the diet in the build up. The IBF have a 10 hour weigh in that you can weigh in 10lbs higher than the 147lbs before. Margarito came in at 155lbs for teh 2nd weigh in. Cintron came in at 147lbs :-( Manny then told him to eat something but Cintron continued to listen to his wife's dietian :happy Manny stormed out and said that they would lose the fight

PM me and let me know what he was teaching. I'm assuming, balance, timing, range, jab, footworking, big right hand?

I also attended. What a cracking day to have Emmanuel Steward right in front of you.

The footage of McClellan v Toney was great. It was shot before they both won mw championships. I was impressed with McClellan jabs and left hooks to the body. Toney was doing his thing and using the shoulder roll and countering. It was fought at a fast pace. Definetely want to see that again.

Also interesting stories from Emmanuel about Oscar, Holyfield, McCallum and Chavez.

I was surprised to learn that Ray Leonard was part of the Kronk team just before the 76 Olympics. Also that Pernell Whitaker honed his skills in the Kronk before the Olympics.

Learned alot about diet from Steward and certain foods to eat.

I can listen to Steward all day long. He was a genuine guy.

I kept looking back and thought to myself that the bloke looks familiar to Jamie Moore lol. I just saw a bloke covered with tatoos lol.

Anyway there was also another lightweight pro named Mark Alexander who i spoke to and was friendly. He nearly ended Micheal Brodie comeback as he knockdown Brodie with left hooks to the body. He actually spars at the Kronk Gym.

Yeah, it's all in Four Kings.

Leonard was sparring with Tommy Hearns in the lead up to the 1976 games.

Steward was the assistant coach to the '84 American team, he puts a lot of credit towards that camp for Hearns smacking Duran around later that summer. Said it was the best camp he's had with any fighter.

Sparring with Breland, Whitaker and doing bits with Meldrick Taylor too :yikes

Duran was lucky to make it through the first round.... according to Steward he always acted odd around Hearns, even though he was never like that toward Leonard or Hagler, instead preferring the smack talking etc.

well to be fair that was exactly how mosley beat margo, stayed close, pushed him back and punished him, i dont think anyone other than floyd or pac can actually outbox/run from him.
