Just been thinking... There must be a fair few british champions who didn't win/fight for a european or world title? Who are some of the best ever who fit into this? And why didn't they win a world title or otherwise?
Recently watched a video of Jamie Moore, id say in more recent times he is definately one. That was related to a change in brain scans and putting family first.
Henry Cooper has to be right up there. As is a man I can claim to be related to Don Cockell. The 9th round against Marciano is why he never became world champion. He held Britich and Euro titles at Light Heavy and he held British and Commonwealth at Heavy.
Eric Boon has to be one of the best that never even challenged for either the European or World title.
Herol Graham should be way up that list as well. Top top fighter and way better than a lot of 'world champions' have been.
