Ok, that's fair enough. I'm not a huge fan of such stats either. Yes, they do. But he was also known as a incredible VOLUME puncher, and a fighter who was expert at using the laces of the gloves to inflict damage, and the occasional elbow and the head. He was mayhem. Considering all these things together, and comparing him to Pep, I dont see how anyone could conclude Greb was a HARDER hitter. He landed "a million punches" and left his opponents badly beaten, but that doesn't mean he had real power at all.
I agree that Fenech's hand problems did contribute to not possessing one punch power. But Fenech wasnt really a big banger as say Arguello or Olivares of the lower weight divisions. That aside though Ive never seen anyone with the energy of Fenech and his beat down of Callejas is definetly one of my favourite fights. His fighting spirit is what boxing is all about :good
Nah hit solidly enough. Wicked body puncher especially. I think it is abit of a myth that Pep 'could'nt break an egg' I think its fair to say he had respectable power. Also if your bringing up KO % why not bring up Canzoneri? Definitly, especially at Welterweight, he is hitting guys with everything and not denting nothing. I was going to mention him but he was a fairly sharp puncher just never really fully committed to power shots or got abit lazy in fights and wouldnt/couldnt wear them down sorta thing.
