I agree with this, I’m interested to see what other fighters are mentioned. Still shocks me to think someone like Langford never held a world title (due to political reasons) while guys like Martin and Stiverne have been world champions.
Great shout with Langford, can't forget about Wills McVey and Jeannette also. But in more modern times I'd have to say Tua and Ibeabuchi are standouts.
Borderline fringe contender at absolute best IMHO. As you say, he doesn't belong anywhere near this conversation.
Ibeaubuchi I think is often overhyped by some but there’s no denying he was a legit world class contender and for me would have won a world title had he stayed out of trouble/not been a complete psycho. His wins over Byrd and Tua are very impressive scalps and make his resume pretty strong considering he only fought 20 times.
Terrible comparison, Tua lost to Monte Barrett when he was a grandfather, fighting to keep his local community out of debt. Just while we're at it, Barrett also tested positive for PEDs after the fight and the result was meant to be overturned.
