    What was the Golden era of light heavies? What era had the deepest pool of talent? Was it the 90s when RJJ rampaged through the division?

    No, the 90s is one of the worst eras in LHW history.

    40s or 70s.

    To be honest, this is the real Cinderella division. I can't remember a time when it wasn't packed with good lads who were prepared to go up against each other.

    Yep. This era is my pick as well. Competitive level was off the charts.

    The 40s was probably the best in terms of top end fighters (Charles, Moore, Bivins) but the 70s was incredibly deep and most likely more entertaining.

    20s and 30s are not bad either.20s had guys such as:Gene Tunney,Kid Norfolk,Mike Mctigue,Paul Berlenbach,Jeff Smith,Jimmy Delaney,Jack Delaney,Young Stribling,Jimmy Slattery,Maxie Rosenbloom,Tommy Loughran,Leo Lomski,Harry Greb,Mickey Walker etc. and 30s had:Maxie Rosenbloom,Lou Scozza,Pete Latzo,Bob Olin,Billy Jones,Al Gainer,Tiger Jack Fox,John Henry Lewis,Billy Conn,Melio Bettina,Lou Brouillard,Gus Lesnevich,Jock McAvoy,Joe Knight,Len Harvey,Young Firpo and others.
