Vincent Pettway's left hook that sent Simon Brown crashing onto his back, where he left fans with the indelible but spine-chilling image of knockout victim instinctively throwing punches at the air in state of virtual unconsciousness. Tito also caught Vargas with the perfect, brutal shot first as both men bravely opened up to left hook at the same time in the 12th. But obviously the best was Hearns crushing right that sent Duran down facefirst in the 2nd round of their June 15th, 1984 rendezvous.
it was an amazing knockout even though terry got up:shock: i heard someone saying a quote of lampley "the first knocked him out the 2nd wakes him up the last one puts him back to sleep"
I don't necessarily think this was the best puncher ever thrown by a junior middleweight, but just to add some varierty... Mosley landed an absolutely sensational left hook in his rematch with Vargas. Not only did Mosley wind up for this punch as if he were a cartoon character, but poor Vargas leaned right into it, causing the impact of the blow to look incredibly painful. Incidentall, Vargas got up pretty quickly, but that was a helluva punch (admittedly, not on par with some of the aforementioned by others in this thread).
Oscars short left that dropped Vargas comes to mind. Also Shanes left that dropped Vargas. Also Titos first left that he dropped Vargas with. :rofl :rofl :rofl
No, no,no you are all wrong I cannot find a clip on youtube but the best 1 shot KO at 154 is a thing of beauty and it's Mike Mccallum's exquisite, vicious left hook to take out Donald Curry.
