That was pretty epic too This content is protected This content is protected Can't wait to see how epic Joshua vs Klitschko show will be.
There's only one man worth talking about if you're talking entrances..... Seriously though not the entrance as such but I love it that Quigg comes out to Rock n Roll Star by Oasis that song always gets me going
That one is the best ! I can tell you just because I am bulgarian, when you hear the pipes you get the ****ing goosebumps everywhere! The thing that Pulev did was amazing , not his fight though.
Floyd has many great ones especially before the Oscar fight. Wladimir / Vitali got several great ones aswell. But my Personal favourite was Tyson Furys vs Wladimir.
I recall the Kevin Kelley fight in New York was awesome. They had a 1 minute sponsored video ad by adidas right before the fight when Hamed was pictured on a 1850s style boat arriving in New York like early immigrants. Then he threw an adidas training bag over board towards the port and summersaulted off the boat down to the port. Was awesome, I've never seen it again.
We don't really have ring entrances anymore. Or they're too defined and produced by the promoters and broadcasters with the fighters just following the script. In the 90s and early 2000s ring entrances really set the atmosphere because they put the spotlight on the fighter. He chose the music, he chose any effects, he engaged the crowd. The ring announcer didn't need to hype it and announce their ring walk like they annoyingly do now, and the TV announcers shut up till the boxer was in the ring. I used to get chills during ring walks before a big fight, and I just can't anymore. Naz ring entrances were great, especially vs Kelley. Roy Jones put on a show. But even more I loved the intensity of no nonsense guys like Tito, Barrera, Gatti coming into the ring, with a few seconds of silence then the crowd erupting when their guy came into the arena without official announcement. And the camera seemed to focus on the fighter the whole walk back then. Now they pan around, throw some cgi here and there, and it just doesn't come through. I'm not just getting old and cranky am I?
The original and the first boxer to make ring entrances a thing was Mike Tyson. Prince Naseem literally took it to another level with his carpet but wrestlers IMO will always have the best ring entrances. This content is protected
The 'Thriller' entrance from Hamed was one of the most hilarious I have ever seen. I really like the Wladimir Klitscho entrances, just because I think his entrance song is one of the best.
