They already agreed on 145. If Cotto doesn't want to bring his title he shouldn't have agreed to the catchweihgt in the first place. The fight is on, you agreed to the terms, and the WBO agreed to put the title on the line. For Cotto to pull the title off the table is a ****ing ***** move. The man already agreed to the catchweight, now he has the responsibility to bring everything he can to the table in order to make this fight as big and meaningful as possible

If he doesn't wanna pay the sanctioning fees, I understand, make Arum or Pac pay them in full. But to just throw the title in the garbage rather than defend it brings Cotto absolutely nothing and is just pure envy and jealousy towards a fighter who has achieved more greatness than he ever will.

i think the best option for pac is to fight cotto at 147 for the title, if he fights at 145, then he should not demand the title to be put on the line. anyway, i'm done with this topic. i'll just wait for the match

If COTTO wants 147, so be it, but weigh in has to be on fight night! 141-147 is the WW range, why would he be weighing more than 147 on fight night? That's BS! If he won't then, it just shows he's really a *****! Why not go for MOSLEY, although it's really gonna be a more tougher fight than COTTO, at least TITLE is on the line and less HASSLE. And will also shut those ****ers up about PAC avoiding BLACK fighters. I agree with ATLAS, COTTO is already a DAMAGED GOODS and what do you do with it? DUMP IT! MOSLEY won in a convincing fight with MARGO who made COTTO quit like a CHICKEN in a cockfight, while COTTO got a gift in his fight with CLOTTEY. DAMN COTTO, you are a *****! You are an embarassment to your country. And to think that you're own countrymen are going for PACMAN. Go for MOSLEY! :hat

for me personally a welterweight division should be from 141 to 147 lbs so 145 is in it basically 145 is welterweight just as 136 to 140 lbs is superlightweight division

Do you understand what you are agreeing with? It says 147 on same day weigh in fight ! Not a day weigh in before fight night. :hat

Have to agree on that, even if I believe Pac should just fight at 147.

Yeah the whole thing is a joke, and just an imaginary number. On fight night Cotto might weigh up to 160 pounds!!! Way 'OVER' the 147 weight limit.

Pac will weigh 147/8. Cotto may weigh around 160 and Pac is the one who has all the advantages? Give me a break.

it is a welterweight championship fight, why not let them come in within welterweight ON the day of the fight or at fight night? isn't that how they used to do it in the old days? if you are naturally in this limit, you should stay in that limit. i think that they had the day before weigh ins so big people could beat up smaller people without getting dehydrated, a chance for big guys to capitalize on their weight advantage.

cotto should fight at middle weight. pacquiao moved up from flyweight when he had more money for food (and he was malnourished back then). if you have to starve and dehydrate yourself to make weight, you shouldnt be on that weight. **** cotto and arum, he should be fighting PW anyway or give clottey or mosley a rematch.

coming in as middleweight in a welterweight fight, tsk.

The solution is to skip Cotto and go straight to the winner of PBF-JMM.

Well Cotto is complaining that he doesnt want the fight for a title because 147 is the WW limit...yet he comes into the fight at MW limit. If he wants to get technical, make it same day weigh in, fine, both will be real WW's on the night...

true that... even though cotto has a win over mosley, at the time mosley is the # 1 welterweight in the world.
