I'm surprised Hagler hasn't been mentioned yet. He was always in great shape. Frazier had incredible stamina. Pryor seemed to never tire, although he was "helped" in the first Arguello fight.

Maybe Wayne McClough ( spelling ). He was a lower weight Irish fighter, trained by Futch. The guy never stopped throwing punches.

Yes, but he was gassed late in his challenge of Antuofermo. Vito was the best conditioned middleweight in the world during his championship run.

I think Ali does deserve a mention. He didn't do much prior to taking out Ringo, but he absorbed tremendous body punishment over 15 rounds with Chuvalo, maintained a tremendous championship round attack in getting rid of Wepner, came back from freakish punishment in Manila, and did most of the work over 15 in the blast furnace of Kuala Lumpur with Bugner. If Futch had let Frazier out for the final three minutes of their rubber bout, Ali would have recorded a third 15 round stoppage for his career.

Miguel Canto is an excellent mention. His footwork looked exactly the same in round 15 as it did in round one.

Sal Sanchez owned the championship rounds. There were a number of champions with excellent stamina between 1968 and the end of the championship round era.
