I switched from DAZN after their shambolic commentary in the aftermath of the Wardley fight. TNT was fantastic coverage during the main event, Woodhall class as usual

 

Beterbievs power is insane.

He landed literally nothing clean yet Bivols face is busted up.

Bivol just said his own hands and arms did the damage as beterbiev was beating them in. Rocky Marciano esque.

I don't think it was a robbery as such but I think Bivol only winning 4 is a huge stretch personally and I was rooting for Beterbiev.

Ultimately though it was a fight between two very high level operators with a fair few close rounds. Not an easy fight to score.

 

Rematch now surely.

They all dope, fella. Once you understand that and see that the vast, vast majority of fighters (certainly the elite) are competing on a level playing field you will enjoy the sport a lot more.

 

Not a bad night all in all. £174 up on the Lucky 31. Would of been £888 if Eubank had of pulled his finger out a round earlier.

The truth is I can see a world that Bivol could have nicked it on the cards - especially as AB really only started from second half of round 3. With 3 left I thought it was either 6-3 or 5-4 to Bivol and Beterbiev clearly won the last three. The truth (from my eyes) is that Beterbiev was gradually but increasingly beating him up from R3 and then stepped on gas. Bivol fought in flashes and he showed a lot of courage etc, but scoring aside winner of the ‘fight’ was Beterbiev

 

Love Bivol wanted him to win, but don’t understand people saying he “controlled” the fight, he boxed well against a beast but was anything but a fight controlling performance a lot of rounds he’d land some eye catching shots but Beterbiev was applying consistent pressure and despite what people are saying was landing shots, his shots are never big flashy looking ones

 

Yarde comes out with a lot of credit tonight. He is far more limited as a boxer than Bivol yet gave Beterbiev a much more dangerous fight and had the balls to trade.

I think Beterbiev should fight Bivol again and then retire before age gets him. That knee will be a problem and it would be awful if he ended up losing a fight like Haye with his body breaking down.
