My initial thoughts were Beterbiev will have his moments in this fight where Bivol looks in trouble and does Bivol have the ability to get out of that trouble. Even with all the ability in the world when Beterbiev is putting the hurt on you is the ability going to be enough to save him. I've iffed and butted this fight over and over in my head and if I have to commit I'm saying Bivol by UD but not a wide one and he survives at least one scare.

Edit: I wouldn't be disappointed if I was completely wrong and Beterbiev wins, I just want to see a great fight deserving of the build up.

I like Bivol, but Beterbiev is too strong for him.I expect dominant performane from him.KO in first half of the fight, won't be surprised if it would happen in first rounds

I believe Bivol will win the fight on points.

He’s so good I think he might make Beterbiev look a bit silly.

Happy to be wrong and I really hope it’s a good fight, but Bivol has really impressed me every time I’ve seen him.

Beterbiev TKO victory between 6 to 10

Starts slow....Bivol wins the early rounds until Beterbiev lands something big which slows him right down and Bivol runs out of steam and Beterbiev goes in for the kill

Bivol wins a wide decision with chances for a KO. Beterbiev is old, injured and outmatched in technique. 8-4 to 10-2 for Bivol

    Love both guys.
Beterbiev because of a couple of reasons:
    1)too strong
    2) have seen this style in the amateurs
    3) brought in his amateur coach to help him
    4) the way he dismantled Smith was just on another level
    5) Bivol is great but other guys are not used to his style.
    6) Bivol has no KO power against the top 10 guys. He cannot keep Beterbiev at range for 12 rounds.

    been a while since posting

    Great post

    Welcome back

Many people don't even know about #3. Beterbiev's old original trainer is Nuri Pasha. When Beterbiev trains in Russia, Nuri is there (the old tall man with white hair) but he hasn't been there for a pro fight before. Trust me, this will be a proud and defining moment for the old man.

I'll also add another one, the injury was the BEGINNING of a tear.
Surgery was completed weeks before the 5v5 tournament and rehab finished at the end of June.

There was no ruptured meniscus. It was the BEGINNING of a tear. Even Marc Ramsay confirmed it MONTHS ago but people keep ignoring it.

I hope they don't bet the house on Bivol

I can't see past Bivol in this one. He's too difficult to hit clean and often and I can't see Artur getting to him enough to force a stoppage or win on points.

This coupled with the knee injury and father time makes Bivol a strong favourite.

That said, I'll be cheering for Artur

That's a ballsy pick, think if it's one-sided most folks would expect that to be AB by destruction. Personally I struggle to see how it can be anything other than competetive from either side, but NOTHING would suprise me from these 2 fighters

I don't factor popularity into my picks.
