If smith comes out wild swinging like Joe smith jr did then he’ll get stopped. 1-2 for him is key here but then again it was for gvozdyk who couldn’t make a dent in Beterbiev.

Beterbiev via ko in 7 rounds

I think Smith just might catch Beterbiev with a big money shot. Respect to Beterbiev though, this will be the third puncher he’s faced in a row.

I'm incredible pumped for this. I think Smith is better on every level than Yarde, and Yarde gave Beterbiev all he could handle for a few rounds. I'm not ruling out an upset here. Callum's power is pretty terrifying at 175, and in all likelihood, he has the better chin. You should get more excited for this one, it's a damn good match.

Smith has a shot here because Beterbiev is old and past-prime.

But even then, AB is going to put a beating on Smith like no one has before, worse than Ryder or Canelo.

Smith got bullied and man handled by Canelo for Pete's sake. Beterbiev will walk right through him even if he has started to lose a step

People are making the mistake of thinking this is the same Smith we saw at 168 but it's not. He looks devastating at this weight and Team Beterbiev see this as one of their toughest challenges. Beterbiev had a tough fight last time out against Yarde which would've put more miles on the clock, a fighter he would've stopped in four rounds max in his prime. Sure Beterbiev looked good blowing out Joe Smith in his previous fight but Smith's tactics and more importantly disregard for defence were suicidal.

Callum Smith really knows what he's doing in there and he will be looking to and will catch Beterbiev with vicious counters in between shots and check hooks and with the power he possesses at this weight and Beterbiev's age he posses a real threat.

Obviously Smith will be facing someone who is much physically stronger and hits much harder than anyone else he's fought before who has stopped every man he's fought and there's a high chance of him getting dropped and stopped for the first time in his career, but make no mistake this is a dangerous fight for Beterbiev.

Am I the only one who thought Smith looked unimpressive in his last fight? His defense was awful and there were very few exchanges where Smith didn't get almost as good as he gave. He fought small and this vaunted 1-2 that everyone is raving about was used very little. Comparing Joe Smith jrs performance against Beterbiev to Callums against the Frenchman, I don't see a huge difference. There is a good shot that Smith Jr knocks Callum out.

Callum Smith is a puncher? News to me. Thought he was a feather fisted tall bloke, what am I missing?

    Gets crumpled in six here.

He has a hair trigger powerful left hook that can go off any time.

Canelo showed how to neutralise it but Canelo is more savvy than Beterbiev.

I expect Beterbiev to circle to his own left and turn Smith into corners and volley off on him.

He has to take Smith's heart very early to take his game plan away so he'll be wary of throwing that left hook.

Beterbiev has to operate as the counter-puncher-trapper here and make Smith come to him.

AB so skilled & his good ring sense too not be hit badly, he's not just a come forward plodder with power, always pumped to watch him do his thing, one of the most exciting fighters in the game today.

Smith might box & stay away well enough to annoy Artur until that is when he eventually gets in, hope he hasn't aged more is always a worry with him though.

This is a good scrap for me, it's a risky fight for AB, yeah Smith can on occasion be lacklustre but if he's on form I think it's a competitive fight.
I'm not saying Smith wins but there is potential for an upset.
