would anyone want to see that fight Joe has improved quite alot since his lost to Bivol, his last two fights he looked really great it and he has world ending power.....Beterbiev has been dropped before by Callum Johnson.... of course i would favor Beterbiev, but i think it could be a slugfest
Beterbeiv breaks him down. Great all-out slugfest, but only one winner. In the build up to GGG-Lemiuex, someone said that when two punchers compete, you pick the one with the better technique. And the Johnson KD isn't really all that bad. Johnson is a top five fighter at 175, and would KO Smith himself.
Smith has power and heart that way outstrip any other qualities, so you get just enough to believe in the upset combined with a lit of action. Could be a classic!
Beterbiev. By beatdown. Watch Smith's interview when Beterbiev's name is mentioned and all the steam goes out of his voice. He isn't that confident of beating Beterbiev. Same with Bivol. He has already sparred Beterbiev and had a beating so knows how a fight would go. Its safe to say that 2020 is a write off for most boxers but in 2021 all these promotors and networks should put differences aside and make fights happen to recoup lost revenue from 2020. Beterbiev vs Adam Dienes = Jan 2021 Beterbiev vs Bivol = May 2021 Beterbiev vs Smith = November 2021 Those are the fights I want to see.
This would be a fight to look forward to if made. One of those fights that you mark on the calendar as a can't miss, with fight of the year potential. I do think that Beterbiev would be a big favorite, and I would side with him for the W, but Joe would come out guns blazing and it would be fun!
