LOL, there's always some guys that are picking a 10 fight guy over an ATG.

Look, Beterbiev is certainly one of the stronger candidates I've seen, and I can see why you think he would win.

But a step up in class often reveals a fighter is less than we thought he was, once he isn't crushing low grade opposition.

Marciano isn't just a step up from Artur's current opposition. It's more like a cliff requiring a grappling hook and rope. I'd favour Marciano - an ATG proven in battle against other ATG's, who was never found wanting, with a ridiculous KO rate and stamina that we simply don't see anyore - over almost anybody at his fighting weight and that includes Beterbiev.

I applaud you guys for hyping up Artur. He's a great prospect that needs all the props he can get. I'd really like to see him do well and see more of him in the future.

But comparing him so favourably to Marciano is just a liiiiiittle premature ;)

Beterbiev is a great talent, and an awesome puncher.

But Rocky is a way better puncher. And punches way harder. He's scarier than Beterbiev, killer instinct that keeps coming with face falling apart smiling at you.
More dynamic, better footwork, way better head movement. Craftier on the inside.

Arturs advantage would be a mobile jab. Fight is all wrong for him.

Floyd Patterson was an ATG fighter as well....who do you think wins between Joshua at 10 fights or 190 pound Patterson?

See you guys WANT to use All time great as a skill, but it wasn't. If a group of 10 who did not know boxing but had a week to sit in a room and have unlimited stats/footage..etc..on both Marciano and Beterbiev, the majority is not picking Marciano to win this, they just wouldn't because collective heads with reason would weed out everything and what each is capabale of .They would have to take into consideration like ( SAME ) opposition and see who did what first and foremost. i already gave you one and you completley ignored it , thats bc the la Starza fight would show the blue print of this fight.

Marciano had good stamina bc he was able to dictate the fight through pressure, that is not going to be the case here,.he is slow, cuts easy, doesnt throw in bunches and has a hard time landing power shots from a distance because he has no staright punches to work his way in ,he often leaped to throw unwinding hooks. This is just ONE aspect i could breakdown but its MARCIANO so i guess im at a loss ( at least you think)..no matter what i post...lol

Marciano has a k.o chance because both are aggressive but its a slim enough one, that he certainly isnt the favorite here ..not even if 100 ppl vote for him.

Artur's lucky to have fans like you :)

Even though I don't agree with you, I appreciate your passion for the sport and it's better fighters.

Im not a Beterbiev fan,i m a boxing fan and only study Hw boxing really unless its fight between fighters i take interest in. I've never even seen a full Beterbiev fight ,i only needed to see a hour of clips of him ,some full rounds along with his background besides wins i know of. I know Marciano alot and cant make a educated guess based on his limitations and and Beterbieves abilities. I dont see any advantages for Marciano at all. I dont think Ward or Kovalev beats him either not does Gassiev. I will probably become a fan later as i like K.o artists.

Which is the best performance of Beterbiev, the one that convinced people he beats Rocky.

Thats a good reply. I appreciate the respect you give Beterbiev, and not knee jerk cause Marciano's mentioned against a similar sized opponent who's only had 11 pro wins

You're probably right on stamina, but as we both know, there's no way in hell this one goes past 8 ;)

It is one of the holy grails of the anti-Marciano crowd, to find a contemporary cruiserweight to favour over him (they have quite a few by the way).

Every few years a new cruiserweight comes along, who is held up a modern cruiserweight that would beat him.

Every time the story ends the same way.

At some point the cruiserweight in question loses to somebody they shouldn’t.

Then they get forgotten, and the anti-Marciano crowd continue to make endless threads about him, and look for another cruiserweight to pick over him (amongst other things that obsess them).

Grade D - 6 errors in that short post of yours son

    1. Way better puncher
    2. Punches way harder
    3. Scarier
    4. More dynamic, better footwork, way better head movement
    5. Craftier on the inside
    6. Arturs advantage would be a mobile jab

They're all laughable, but 2 and 5 really take the biscuit

You actually think Cockell would have lasted 8 getting hit by Beterbiev as often as Rocky hit him?

As for Marciano being more dangerous (yeah i know you cleverly used the word "craftier" - you basically meant "dirtier" - which he wouldnt get away with these days) than Artur on the inside is a joke. Rocky gets in close, Artur only needs a few inches to put his horrendous power shots on him

Ive been on this site close to a decade janitor, and am a big Marciano fan. This is the first time ive felt a guy around his weight would not just beat him but KO him brutally. Rocky was tough as nails. It would be a barbaric beatdown

Beterbiev is a monster. But a lot on the Classic board just wont accept anyone close to Rocky's weight would or could beat him

Fine then let Beterbiev prove it.

If he belongs with Marciano, then he should be able to clean out the current cruiserweight division, in brutal fashion.

Until he does this, he is just a guy who looks promising!

Who did Rocky beat that was an ATG close to their prime or in their natural weight class?

Kovalev destroyed an aged ATG in Hopkins. Similar to what Rocky did (not his fault - it was the era he fought in)

Beterbiev has already beaten Kovalev TWICE

He's also beaten the current HW many regard as the best in Usyk

Id give Kovalev a great chance against Rocky too

But as you know janitor, in todays boxing, the big names are free to duck and cherry pick. Theres no guarantee Beterbiev will even get the chance to clean these guys clock - just look at GGG's situation

Thanks to the current era of cherry picking, weight draining, ducking, multiple belts, there's a great chance Beterbeiv wont get the chance to prove himself against the elite

You have to rely on what your eye tells you. If your eye tells you Marciano, fair enough. My eye tells me otherwise
