I doubt Betterbiev would get past LaSarza tbh.

This guy hasn't even proven to be better than Stevenson or Kovalev.

You are comparing Rocky Marciano (an all-time great), to a guy who hasn’t even cracked the top ten yet!

Resumes are not your friend here, and they will not be for some time!
A good amateur record, does not necessarily translate into a good professional record.

Let’s look at his professional record.

So far so good, but so far not very far!
    No.

Looking good on film is not enough.

You have to prove it in the ring.

Boxing was fought different in the 40's and 50's . Refereeing was different . Marciano was a strong , rough and
tough as nails and would do anything to win . Fouls and would hammer away at arms, shoulder and hit you
anywhere to wear you out. Beterbiev is used to amateur rules where roughhouse tactic's don't score points
    and are not practiced.
Golota use rough tactics upset Bowe ( would have won if not disqualified ) and Benn against McCellan.
Beterbiev might look indestructible ( but please 11 fights and Tarvis Cloud ) but how would he survive
against a experienced mean fighter who is proven in battle is open to debate.

It's FAR too early to talk about Beterbiev like this. I will say this though about Beterbiev:

    1. Statistically, he's the hardest puncher to cross over from the amateurs since the 'no headgear' days.

    2. He's the physically strongest Light Heavyweight in history, by a HUGE margin. He is a complete freak.

    3. He was so powerful and so strong, that despite being small at Cruiserweight at the time, he was moved up from LHW to fight there in the amateurs and looked stronger than any of the boxers at that weight, including the huge Cruiserweights.

    4. Currently, his selling point is his ability to manhandle his opponents with his size, and connecting during this with his power.

But Marciano was one of the very, very best ever.

    No I mean craftier.

Post up some good Beterbiev clips that displays his power.
I'll post Rocky clips that displays his power, and we can compare.

Also, we can do the same for their inside game.

    How can he?

He's the top ranked guy in the IBF at no.2 (no.1 was vacant), and they asked the their no.s 3,4 and 5 to fight him to get a shot at the winner of Kovalev/Ward - and they all refused to fight him

Its not like the old days where boxers were real men not guys out to make as much money as they could with little regard to legacy

Beterbiev has little to no chance to prove himself better than Marciano. In this day and age there's no chance an Andre Ward type would be brave enough to fight such a high risk low reward beast

Today you HAVE to rely on the eye

Otherwise what chance do guys like Golovkin, Beterbiev, Lomachenko, Rigondeux and Kovalev have??

    I don't think these guys are anti-Rocky. I think they are pro-Beterbiev.

If Beterbiev finishes his career the same way he's started it, then they will have a point. He's already done very well for an 11 fight fighter.

Until then, though, I'll hold judgement a bit.

Beterbiev has enough decent fighters to get past at 175! Let's see how he fares with someone like Kovalev first before we talk about one of the TBE's in Marciano!

So here's a guy who's had 11 pro fights against nobodies and he's going to outclass and school Rocky Marciano.
Beterbiev looks a good fighter, but the chances are Marciano brutalises him.
He would never have faced anyone with the toughness, determination, intensity, fitness and stamina of Marciano.
There would be no periods of rest or coasting in this fight, he would be fighting for survival every second he was in there.
There was also the little matter of Marciano with his power could take your head off.

On the basis of him being known for being physically stronger than his huge Cruiserweight opponents in the amateurs despite being small for that weight, and based on his physique and the way he uses it in fights.
P4P he looks like the physically strongest in history (on a P4P level) and it's not even close.

Beterbiev has incredible potential. But this forum has him beating a under defeated hw champion and now the
strongest of all time P4P after 11 fights !!
He manhandled those amateur's because he has really being a professional amateur . Many of those fights it
would have been man against boy. The hype on this fighter is incredible but please by all means have your favorite
fighter but the worship among some sycophant's is really over the top sometimes.
