    I think he was very sore that the results of my poll 87% voted that Primo was a legitimate champion.

    In his shame he changed his name to GOAT Primo Carnera.

    This thread is a joke. Carnera couldn't be Bowe's sparring partner. Debates are only interesting if they are serious, not boring wastes of time.

    I dont understand.

    You have some people claiming modern super heavies are only succesful due to modern PEDs, nutrition, weights, etc and that they are "freaks" compared to older fighters. Yet people pick older fighters to beat them? Even guys like primo carnera, are you serious?

    I thought the whole point was boxing "evolved"? What then is the purpose of PEDs, nutrition, etc if the fighters are still inferior to the awkward giants of the past...?

    What a farce, carnera couldn't carry a 1992 Bowes spit bucket.

    Watch Bowe Holyfield I then watch carnera vs impelletiere and have a laugh at the difference

    One guy was a seasoned great fighter trained by eddie Futch, the other was a circuis clown

    We put fairy tales aside and recognize that becoming a two time defending lineal HW champion is a major achievement in the sport of boxing.

    Then, we look at how he fights, and we see how clearly effective he is.
    We use the last 20 years of data and see that SHWs have similar stylistic trends and stigmas about their overall abilities.

    Primo has to rank among the best Superheavyweights.

    All this time he has been ranked among heavyweights when he always was a Superheavyweight.

    Among SHWs, Primo has to be top five. He has to.
