Better fight: Brook/Gavin or Khan/Mccloscky?

I can only speculate but I think it's the same reason Kell Brook hasn't taken up Thurman on his offer of coming to the UK for a title fight. Kell doesn't want to jepordise a potential Khan fight and Khan doesn't want to jepordise a potential May or Pac fight.
Once Brook fights Khan I'm sure he'll take on the more riskier fights as would Khan after he fights May or Pac or if he doesn't fight them and they retire.

Regardless of the reason it's ridiculous to compare Gavin with McCloskey since Khan fought him 4 years ago at a much earlier stage in his career where as Brook is fighting Gavin at a much more developed stage in his career.

 

The answer is mccloskey though he accomplished more and proved more than gavin by the time both khan and brook fought them.

its the thread question? i was just responding to bit when you said it was ridiculous to compare the two, your right about that but I was just adding in that you cant say Gavin is better.

 

Oh ok. To be honest I was pretty much saying the same thing in my previous post but posted that in response to someone asking me why Khan won't fight Brook after I made my point.

Nah. He was unbeaten at the time.

The Dave Ryan fight, McCloskey was coming off 15 months of inactivity- and the fight was a bit of a robbery. He won it really (Although he looked like ****- shot to bits)

The Corley loss is no worse than the loss to Bundu, and certainly a hell of a lot better than losing to Skeete- which Gavin should have.

I also felt he lost to Prescott in a very close fight. But again, Prescott at his best is a decent fighter.

Well Skeete is very far from decent imo.

An unbeaten european title holder with some decent wins in the bag is just the better defence compared to Gavin who has so far achieved nothing as a pro.

McCloskey wasn't any world beater, but neither is Gavin.

Not to mention, the beating that Gavin will surely recieve should he fight Brook will end him.
