Neither is Andre Ward, but if FLoyd beat him, it would be more impressive then beating pac.

I am not ***** or Floydfan but a win over ODLH at 154lbs is a GOOD win for Mayweather wether you like it or not. Bringing up excuses of how many lost he has, has nothing to do with it. ODLH did lose to Hopkins (bigger man), won a controversial decision over Strum, a MW, (not ODLH faults), loss to Mosley (atleast the first fight, the second most people say he won). Look at who ODLH is losing too, those aren't any bums. Mosley in his prime was a beast, and ODLH had the chance to face him in his prime unlike Pac and Mayweather. I do agree with you that ODLH was not the same fighter by the time he fought Mayweather, too much inactivity, but in all honesty, I think that is Mayweathers best win up to date.

Floyd could have done better to improve his legacy but it seems that after the ODLH win he chose to pick his fighters to guard his "0" which is a ***** move. He could of fought Margarito, Cotto, and now Pac two years ago. Sure Margarito and Cotto are nothing now compare to what they used to be but when he had to chance he went into "retirement".

Legacy wise, Pac is the best option. Like most say, Martinez will be forgotten when he retires unless Martinez does something spectacular like fight and beat Ward, Bute, Froch and some 154lbs or 160lbs pounder who "MIGHT" peak in the next year or two. Otherwise Martinez will be forgotten. And this is coming from a Martinez fan! Pac will be remembered and for sure will be or is already on the ATG list.

If floyd doesnt want to move up to MW ( I don't even think he can even make 160) what makes you think he will do so at 168lbs?

But using your logic, Nathan Cleverly is nothing but if FLoyd fought him at 175lbs it will be a better win for Floyd. :yep

    Key word "IF"!!

pac vs martinez >> floyd martinez >> pac vs. floyd
I have to agree with you. Pacquiao beating Martinez would be more impresive that Mayweather beating Martinez.

Who was a better win for Pac, Barrera or Hatton? Hatton was the bigger, stronger guy, but Barrera will go down as a better win. Same logic here.

You missed the entire point. You don't have to beat an ATG fighter for it to be a huge win.

    Both.

But if he can only do one... Then Pacman it is.

I agree with you and I know that Martinez will be a tougher fight for Floyd than Manny. But for Floyd's legacy...30years down the road, people will hold a win over Pac as a better accomplishment only because Pacquiao's name will be much bigger then than Martinez by that time. Pac's legacy will only get better from here.
