Gamboa is far more accomplished than GRJ, far more.

    And far better.

This fight was to determine who the king of 35 was, far more significant.

I think we are forgetting who Russell Jr.'s greatest career victory is over...

Who were more people picking to win, GRjr or Gamboa?

    No it wasn't.

Gamboa had only fought there once, a year ago, against a guy outside the top 10.

How was this for LW supremacy????

    It wasn't.

Around equal, both were underdogs by a slight margin.

Lomachenko was dominant. Crawford was getting his head boxed off until he hurt Gamboa. Gamboa is the better opponent but he was also undersized and coming off inactivity.

Gamboa had been inactive for quite a while and Russell was active and looked great against his previous opponents. Both fights were outstanding and, imo, there were no real losers in either fight.

It was Loma's 3rd fight, i think we forgot that.

Plus Gamboa has been so inactive and is a weightclass above what he should be fighting.

Very true that last line, all four fighters can hold their heads high. Gamboa needs to be a bit smarter in the ring and fight more often, and GRJ needs to be a bit smarter out of the ring (choosing progressively harder opposition).

LMFAO at the loma nuthuggers. So Salido's win was even better than Crawford's win too?

No one in their right minds would think Lomachenko's win over GRJ was better than Crawford's over Gamboa.

    End of.

Have we figured out who Russell's best career victory is yet?

That win can go on to mean big things if Russell goes on to do big things. But as of now, Loma beat an utterly unaccomplished contender, looked great against the competition, but nothing more.

lol Salido came in over weight and then proceeded to mug Lomachenko in the ring with the help of the ref. Lomachenko impressed me as to how well he fought under those conditions.
