The Corrales/Roy Jones example-the manner of the Corrales victory was impressive KD Corrales 5 times.Calzaghe fought a shot Jones. No arguments about that one.
Both the Gatti and Lacy wins were very impressive.Floyd was punch perfect that night, couldn't miss though Gatti is a bit of a human punch bag and was past his best.Lacy was hyped up and was destroyed by Calzaghe and hasn't been the same since. You could make a case either way here
Hatton being better win than Kessler is false IMO.Hatton doesn't move up very well. His lunging attacks were perfect for Floyds counters and that check hook that ended the fight.Kessler was unified champion and unbeaten(I realise Hatton was unbeaten also)This was a better win for JC than the Hatton win IMO

Floyd has a lot more depth and success over more divisions.

Yes, but you're forgetting that he fought in more than just 1 division. Mosley turned down a couple of opportunities to fight Floyd at 147, Cotto wanted no parts of Floyd at 140 and made no effort to fight him at 147. As far as Margo goes, Floyd turned down that fight in order to get a fight with Hoya at 154. Floyd definately could've made a bigger statement at 147. However, that was his 4th weight class and other fighters didn't do their part to make some of these fights happena as well.

    strangely similar.
both beat over the hill legends: oscar and roy jones
both beat undefeated challengers: hatton and kessler.
both fought perfect fights against gatti and lacy respectively.
    both retired undefeated.
and both may still have questions to answer: hatton/pacquiao and dawson.

Calzaghe's only question unanswered (beside Froch) is Dawson
    - a young unbeaten good fighter who is much bigger than Joe himself.

Floyd's unanswered questions are are almost endless.

Evaluating resume means evaluating who they did fight, not who they didn't. Who they did not fight is not relevant here.

In that case its easy Joe, beat two future ATG, more title defenses, more dominating in single division, holder of two Ring titles at different divisions at the same time, more perfect record, unbeaten for 17 years including amateur record, brings full stadium of fans who cheer for him instead come to see he will finally fail ... I know Floyd was cherry picking opponents in more divisions but that is just a single advantage

of course it is relevant, absence of big names on a resume is surely a characteristic of a poor one.

Along with the Pac fans who maintain that Manny didnt beat a feeble emaciated weight weakened Corpse in his last fight. Take a bow mate.
