I'm convinced it would be a shockingly easy win for Hopkins.
Valuev would be schooled for 12 rounds and we'd have a new WBA heavyweight champion.

Would the lumbering giant land even a single solid blow?

Amazing as it sounds - this would be a mismatch.

    Think about it.

Wouldn't surprise me, given what Valuev did (or didn't do) with Holyfield.

    I agree.

I think mayweather would be able o beat him with a jab and run technique in a ridculous spectacle.

What is there to think about?
Of course Hopkins would school him easily - as would a ton of fighters from lower divisions.

If the cruiseweight fight with adamek comes of and hopkins will beat him i think, then valuev myt be a potential fight, buh i dont see it happening. btw i think bhop would take him to school and then back home.

I would go with Valuev. A jab from him would be hard for Hopkins to take.

His punches would move Hopkins considerably even if Bernard blocks them.

Hopkins can't hurt Valuev, but Valuev can land the jab and clinch on BHop all fight long.

This would hurt Hopkins later in the fight IMO.

Holyfield hit hard enough to keep Valuev honest. B-Hop doesn't.

Valuev's jabs are slow and telegraphed. Hopkins would have no problem slipping them.
Also, Valuev is a surprisingly soft puncher for someone his size.

I see the giant Russian missing a lot, swinging at air.

    I believe he would also.

I also believe there are at least half a dozen fighters below heavyweight that could beat Valuev.
