****ing Hell. I'm not too keen on Smith at all but this thread has made me think 'I wouldn't mind him winning purely for Avid's satisfaction'

I like this Avid fella. He doesn't spout **** about Smith being the greatest or anything like that. He is pretty sensible in his posts and even though we have different opinions on Smith he still manages to keep things relatively good humoured. He's getting some totally unwarranted **** on here. He thinks Smith will win. Who can argue so much over that. I'm neither here nor there on picking a winner as it's a good matchup so I have no complaints with either set of fans saying their bloke will win and neither opinion is 'out there'.

With regards to the "Dodson would even acknowledge that Smith has the power to knock him out" comment and the then OTT reply from Tony, it would be very interesting to see what was said if Smith did KO him :huh

Either way, with a local fight like this emotions would probably alwas run high but Avidlemon shuldn't be getting so much **** on here for his reasonable comments

 

Leave Avid alone. So he supports a fighter that not many others on this site do, so he gets **** for it? He hasn't said anything unreasonable or done anything wrong. In fact, avid has been the most reasonable poster on this thread - he states that he thinks Smith will win, but Dodson is in with a shout. What the **** is wrong with that? :huh

I see people on here who support Tyson Fury, Audley Harrison, Anthony Small, James DeGale, Derek Chisora etc. - unpopular fighters with fans right now, but they never get singled out like avid has been in this thread.

Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

At least Dodson has stepped foot in the ring with someone of the class of Carl Froch, he bullied Quigley about most of the fight until exhaustion kicked in, This time that won't happen!!
Smith's goin to drop in the 7th round and realise he's just an average fighter who thinks he's world class, what a joke!!

 

the class of carl froch ? of course he was gonna step in and fight him carl froch was still on domestic level. dodsons been stopped 4 times in 5 losses i think smith is the younger more active boxer and will win it in my opinion

To be honest, i am glad you have made these comments, as i was starting to think am saying things that i don't realise i am saying.

But i think i am relatively fair in my comments, even though there is an obvious smith bias, which i can't help.

But the **** people give me, well i should be used to it, as i am also a west ham fan!!

Here is the interview in which Tony Dodson acknowledges that smith can knock out people with both hands. He doesn't directly say smith would knock him out, but he says smith can knock you out with both hands, and i took that to mean he counted himself in that catagory.
Worth an apology??
