:good Seriously question Solid Chin. Did you not say you were going to leave the board awhile back when Margarito was caught cheating?
And can you believe the **** he said in the interview. something to the effect of I dont think I need to be getting beat up like that. Cant remember the exact quote. pretty pathetic ****. wouldnt be surprised if he just gave up boxing from here on. any future opponents now know is if you can hang he may quit. pathetic ****.
"I shouldn't be getting beat up like this" "I have some thinking to do" Sounds like a possibly retirement.
Im not too sure if I said I was going to leave but I remember being in a conversation where I was getting into a heated debate on a Margarito thread and I remember saying Im signing off or something or im gonna leave esb but I may have been referring to leaving as in signing out as oppose to leaving the site entirely.
Yeah, it did to me too. i was shocked. wtf? He would have been better served to just keep his mouth shut.
I have never ever seen a boxer just say **** it like that in the middle of the action because he could have fought on but he literally told the referee **** it im done. Man, I was thinking what is this guy thinking, I think it is safe to say that he was on his way to getting KO'ed and probably brutally too. I cant see him carrying on. He has already quit after facing his first real test, Khan would kill this guy for the second time lol because he has already stopped ortiz with headgear on...
The fans on ESB are fickle. "He has no heart at all." So getting up from a knockdown, taking many good shots and keeping at it... and only giving up after you've done all of this for several rounds, taking loads of punishment, at a point when his corner was threatening to stop the fight anyway.. means he has NO heart at all? The average poster on ESB is very emotional, immature, and simply doesn't care much for fighters. The fight just ended over an hour ago. For all we know at this point, Ortiz could have been a lot more hurt than he was letting out. Though if thats true he probably won't admit to it. So we have a choice, we can assume that halfway through the fight, after getting up from knockdowns, and taking a lot of punishment throughout the fight he had a change of heart (no pun intended) and decided to become a '*****' - or he felt that he really needed to quit. He was prematurely hyped into being some kind of monster, or next big thing, and now he's being prematurely labelled as having 'no heart'. Fans on this forum are a joke for the most part (in my experience reading posts here in the last two years at least).
I agree with that Solid Chin. I think he was hurt but not dazed. the heart was just taken out of him. the going got rough and he gave up and thought nothing of it. I just dont think he has what it takes on the inside and that is his greatest weakness.
And one more quick point. You can say, he's not as tough as ______, or he's not willing to take as much punishment and possibly damage himself for life as ______. But to objectively say "He's a *****", or "He's garbage", or "He's a bum", etc. Well, guess what, unless YOU, and I mean YOU PERSONALLY (whoever feels that way) are willing to stand up and fight like that, then you are a *****, a bum, and garbage just like that. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe all of yall are just that tough, and just prefer to sit and home on your computer instead of getting in the ring yourself for other reasons.
I don't think my post seems very emotional. I'm not angry, upset, not even exasperated... just making an observation about the behavior of certain posters on this forum the way I see them. Though it was also an attempt to point out of silly some of the posts on here are.
