That's not true. Camacho left his heart in the ring after the Rosario fight because I remember watching all his damn boring fights that followed.
Biggest myth is Klitschos having zero stamina, when they can both go 12 rounds withoug any problem. Vlad only ran out of gas one time, that was the Puritty fight, 11th round, early in his career. The Brewster fight was because he was drugged. The claimed the same thing about Vitali, having zero stamina, zero chin, not true. I remember all the US boxing media lies about Vitali and Vlad being extremely slow, etc., prejudice, they want to see what they want to see.
Muhammad Ali (then Cassius Clay) had his glove replaced following being knockdown against Cooper. It was actually patched up, and that only took an extra 10 seconds, thus the gap between the fourth and fifth round was 70 seconds rather than 60. The BBC proved this some years ago, by replaying the live radio feed.
What about it? Bert Sugar even said it was a story, then it showed a small clip of Pep slipping a few punches, that doesn't mean it was that particular fight. There is no footage of that fight, and most consider it a myth, though noone knows for sure except the people who were there. But that clip proves nothing.
