Certainly not Rigondeaux. While he was highly thought of no one viewed him as invincible. But people were acting like Chocolatito was on Mayweather level. And people were calling Kovalev the Krusher and really believed it and a smaller man made him quit, granted Ward was the p4p number 1.

    Not even close to Golota/Bowe

Certainly is good footage of Kovalev folding, again I was disappointed in the stoppage I thought Kovalev had more fortitude. I also noticed him completely bent over and gesturing his glove no where near the area Ward landed on which I will admit was low.

Point of the story was Ward systematically broke Kovalev down. He’s back and confident again I look forward to watching him perform again.

Not only did Rigo realize Loma was too good for him, but he also realized he was too small for him, and likely realized he was too old for him at 37. Very forgivable.

Kovalev on the other hand made so much noise including his fans about how the first fight was his, only to come into the second fight and fight like a defeated man.

Kovalev does not belong on this list. Being robbed by three judges from your opponent's country on their turf, then having another corrupt homer ref allow them to score a KO by belting you in the balls does not count.

Anyway, in answer to the question has to be Roman. He was p4p #1 facing a big underdog. Rigo may have quit, but he was an underdog moving up 2 divisions and even before the fight, there was a sense that his career had stalled, at age 37 and having fought barely once a year since the Donaire fight in 2013.

Rigo actually did really well in the first round... when he was ACTIVE and somewhat creating the action.

I don't think any of those three were really devastating losses. Choclatito was man enough to get back in with a guy he probably knew was too strong. Kovalev also gave it the shot, and cleaned himself up afterward, and I think real boxing people knew the Rigo-Chenko thing was kind of ridiculous. If Rigo and Choclatito keep their weights down they have a few more fights left. And Kovalev is top-2 in his division. I don't think anyone really wants to fight him.

Chocolatito by far, he faced far lesser opponent than Rigo and Sergey did, lost the 1st fight and was completely and utterly destroyed in a career-ending rematch

Sergey shouldn’t be on that list considering he didn’t legitimately lose to Ward. Rigo got tooled and embarrassed to the point of in a whimpering voice... asked his trainer to stop the fight because Loma was just about to shut his lights off. Rigoblin gets my vote for the biggest fall from grace :)

The Twitter Troll himself hasn’t posted **** either since having his innocence taken from him in front of a sold out house at The Garden.

Absolutely Kovalev. He talked the most **** pre fight and made the most excuses post fight.

Add that to the fact that going into the fight he had the hbo boys all in his corner and was the natural light heavyweight with Ward coming up from super middle....he was disciplined dearly.

Kovalev should not be on this list. I am a Ward fan and can acknowledge he hit Kovalev low many times. I guess it is legal if you can get away with it but I don't believe Sergey belongs on this list. Rigo straight up quit, no ifs buts or maybes - he bottled it. Chocolatito just wasn't as good as we were led to believe - and probably jumped up in weight too much when he was already on the decline.
