Honestly man a Herbie Hide fight doesn't really fall under the category of "biggest fight"

The credited response is Louis-Schmeling II. The thread should be retitled "second biggest fight that was a mismatch."

true but at the time brit fans were thinking that herbie could be top of the rung in the heavywieghts. he was a top 10 heavy and in britian got a big reception...then boom knocked off by vitali and that was the end. kinda like audley harrison is today

Frazier v foreman as folks had frazier the favourite and it turned out to be one sided in both fights.....
Tyson spinks also,as it was supposedly a 50/50 fight...

anumber of them come to mind:

Frazier v. Foreman I like someone already mentioned...who can forget Howard Cossell..."...DOWN GOES FRAZIER...DOWN GOES FRAZIER...DOWN GOES FRAZIER..."

    How about:

    Ali v. Liston II

    Tyson v. Lennox Lewis

    Joe Louis v. Schmeling I & II

    Hearns v. Duran

Lamon Brewster / Wlad Klitschko rematch
Klit ain't got dog in him right?
Brewster quit from Wlad's jab alone and was never in the fight at all.

    Except PBF :D

Besides, that's like saying Duran was the best p4p fighter at 160lbs when he was fighting there - it doesn't mean a thing!
