    Jack Dempsey vs George Carpentier, such a hyped fight of its time, Carpentier the War hero vs Dempsey the slacker.

    I was in Atlantic City for this one.

    Apart from the main event, I did get to see George Foreman fight that week as well as Hector Camacho, Julian Jackson and Azumah Nelson - - and that wasn't even on the undercard.

    On the undercard, Razor Ruddock and Buster Douglas both won and Carl Williams beat Trevor Berbick.

    And I'd rather, in retrospect, be able to say I saw Iron Mike in his wrecking-ball prime than in a more competitive fight or taking apart a less-regarded foe. At least it was historic in that it unified the lineal title and is memorable as being Tyson's peak performance.
