It didn't hurt that Taylor and Green and are both with Lou Di Bella. One steps out, the other steps in.
I don't think HE did, I have a theory; knowing what I do about Sakio and his negotiations. Whatever happened though, it's a shame because once again the bloke isn't gunna fight
It's possible Sakios team were paid to step aside. But you would think they would have used a different excuse other than visa problems, not that it's been reported that is the reason for the Green fight not happening. The old "injured" excuse could have been used. It is a bit weird though. One minute he was fighting Green and the next he isn't, and as far as I know their is no statement from anyone saying why Sakio v Green isn't going ahead. Bscene reported it but I don't think thye gave a definite reason why the Bika v Green fight is off.
Do you guys know anything about boxing and business ? How the fcuk would Sakio be paid to step aside. Do you think he would accept chump change to forgo a chance at winning world titles and millions of dollars ?!?!?! You dont want a chance at winning millions of dollars Sakio and have a shot at world titles in your division ?? Ok Sakio take $100k to step aside ??? , wake up and look at the real problems ! The guys has either major issues or very bad business acumen or getting some real bad advice. The guy has done nothing in boxing but win a below average competition in the contender, and lose to a couple of big names. How can it be possible that everytime something big is supposed to happen to Sakio something goes wrong. I love the way he fights but its sooooooooooooooooooooo frustating not seeing him fight where he belongs , MIXING IT WITH THE BIG BOYS!! He needs to fight a Green or Mundine and start building his rep back, he isnt going to get it fighting against Thai"s with losing records at the oryon hall and then complain no one wants to fight him. He is losing ground quickly and it doesnt need to happen, just fight Sakio. :fire
So should we hold a memorial service and RIP Sakios career, theres really nothing for him now that he dont even get the chance at the super 6
It was such a massive opportunity missed. Someone has to be held accountable, if it was a visa issue why was"nt fixed way in advance , it cannot be a excuse because he has fought in the US before and surely he didnt think he was only fighting in Australia for the rest of his career. Even winning a couple of fights in the Super 6 would have launched Sakio on the world scene and he could have won some world titles, just as important it would have consolidated Australia on the world scene alongside , Green , Katsidis, Darchinyan and Mundine.
Pecks told me Bikas visa problems has something to do with not having the right licences to get his wife into the country
He was tied to the contener management for a bit, he hasnt been with them for a few months and still **** all happening
