I've seen the Mexican Russian. He was in a barnburner before the Rios/Alvarado fight at the Home Depot. His work rate should be enough to take Dib. He's easy to hit, but I don't think Dib can hurt him.
Good info, I wouldn't be that interested in the fight only for the write-up here. I haven;t watched much of Dib but don't like what I see, esp against Yamaguci which was pretty ridiculous. My personal dislike for him doesn't mean he won't win though, and although I haven't watched much of Gradovich, it could likely be closer than what betting suggests. I'm always wary though that Dib might get a decision on the judges cards if its close or if Gradovich is edging it.
As far as robberies go, I think we might have a safe & even playing field. :think 50 Cent is the NKOTB, rich and popular and creating waves but only just starting to make his mark in promotion and probably not looking to jeopardize his new image too soon with any funny business....especially not on the mere behalf of a Billy Dib instead of a primary asset like a Yuriorkis Gamboa. Bilal is also going without home advantage for the first time in his reign. Furthermore, the northeastern USA could be construed as "hostile terrain" given his prior dealings here. (going 1-1 against Luevano and Mtagwa, the former being the biggest night of his life and the one whereupon he got exposed on the biggest stage on HBO PPV) Gradovich would actually be the more likely to receive undue "help" behind the scenes, having caught the beady eye and getting swept under the protective wing of Bob Arum (although Arum isn't directly involved in tomorrow's promotion, being jointly handled by 50 and Lou DiBella) - and training with Robert Garcia and being a part of the Oxnard crew which is growing in power and influence...not to mention characteristically exhibiting far more of the aggression most typically favored by judges when it's close - I doubt he would get screwed in favor of a guy who has sort of already plateaued, and isn't even a massive draw back home.
Dib is good but his attitude makes him unpredictable. When things don't go his way he'll do some **** to spoil or cheat. He'll elbow and low blow to get that that break he needs in the fight. He has only fought honest once without being dirty and looked banged up.He is at his best if he fights slick and move.
You put more work into Billy Dib's fights than Dib himself. Anyone who is considering watching Dib vs Luevano: Don't.
Luevano was talented, but his whole career was sort of "blah" (in both his attitude toward it and the in-ring end product)...and the Dib fight was one of the least exciting of many boring nights, which is really a mouthful.
Basically saying you hope he gets knocked out because of his religion is pretty ****in stupid. However, I will be rooting for Gradovich as he seems exciting enough and Dib is kind of a tool.
I'm eagerly awaiting the day when Dib gets violently seperated with his senses. One of the few fighters who rubs me the wrong way with every facet of his style and personality.
