Danny - what a load of bollocks.

Hatton's true colours being shown up again here. Also note that Graham has said he's upset that Hatton just sat there as Mayweather Snr ripped Graham. What a ****ing sell-out the self-proclaimed 'man of the people' is. Make no mistake people.....Hatton is out for Hatton and nobody else. Not 'me fans' and not 'me great pal Billy'.

FFS Graham got half a million pds for the Mayweather fight, what does he think he's worth?? If he didn't get paid for the Luzcano fight that's a different story.

I'm caught in two minds over this. I'm a huge fan of Billy, and Ricky made the biggest mistake of his life in firing him, but i can never agree with taking someone to court and trying to use the law as some way to get even for bitterness/jealousy/rage

If he's contracted to get 10 percent he's entitled to that no matter how ineffective you or I feel he is as a coach.

What would you do if you had a deal in place with your work and they went back on it?

Actually i had a deal with my employer that i'd get anywhere between 10-15% bonus when i met my targets. Targets achieved but due to economic crisis only got 5%

I just have to suck it up. Happy just to have a job.

Graham shld be happy he got what he did.

That is bollocks. You should take your employer to a tribunal if they are not paying you what your contract says.

As far as Graham goes, it was mentioned that he and Ricky didn't need a contract. Does that mean they didn't have one?? I have heard 10% mentioned before as a trainers fee. Who knows what has gone on in the background. Apparently they haven't spoken since the split. Maybe Ricky has just forgot to send him the cheque :smooch

When purses are that high 10 pecent goes out the window

A trainer getting even 500 000 for a couple months camp is madness

that goes against the grain of the deall it is fair to say that the reason hatton was getting so much money was partly down to grahams hard work no one can deny he has been instrumental in helping get ricky to the top he probably used to train hatton at a loss to start with he has invested in this kids future and deserves to reap the rewards of his hard work

There's a massive difference between those two scenarios though. Your company's net profit probably took a hit due to the economic crisis but Hatton would have been paid in full regardless.

Most trainers of high profile fighters work for a set wage instead of a percentage once the purses get crazy, the board has a policy for this exact scenario. The fighter and trainer are meant to agree the fee before the fight takes place! I'd imagine they have worked off a handshake for some time! I'd suggest the 500,000 figure is the agreed amount. The fight where they split, billy would have worked under the impression he would be earning that 500k- at some point they have a fall out. Billy makes a stand about their agreement and Hatton- the promoter, pays himself 500,000 billy is then entitled to 50,000. Significantly less then the 500,000 he thought he'd be getting. He doesn't accept it and then tries to excercise the 10% for the mayweather fight in protest.

Ray Hatton has proven himself to be an idiot on numerous occasions, such as after the Lazcano fight, saying 'it wouldn't be Ricky Hatton if something didn't happen' rather than admitting that the performance was lacklustre.

As Ricky's manager he should be responsible for paying bills. Graham should be suing Ray surely?
