Meh, if it means Zhang and Kabayel fight each other, then I don't have a problem with it, and Bakole v Ajagba is also a decent fight, so 2 good fights for me.

That's why he's ducked him twice in the matter of a couple of months.

Surely both Zhang and Kabayel would fancy there chances more against Dubois than Usyk. They can only be thinking to avoid Martin and try and pick up vacant titles. Pathetic.

I think its more Kabayel feels hes earned an actual title fight not an eliminator which Sanchez was. A title fight. And if he lets Bakole go Kabayels high enough in the rankings where he shouldn't need to take that sort of risk in a non title bout.

I think we've got a situation where when fighters win eliminators they expect title fights. And they can't be blamed for that.

Bakole isn’t some stone cold killer though is he.

He went life and death with Sergey Kuzmin in the trenches, and barely escaped with a unanimous decision win.

A Congolese guy living in Scotland lying about his age isn’t a big sell for promoters, and that is is why Bakole isn’t getting these big fights.

If he wants to develop more of a personality then he might get the bigger fights. If he wants some tips on this then he should watch Jerrel Miller and Derrick Chisora.

It was a WBC eliminator. This is an IBF eliminator.

The fact is he thinks Zhang is an easier fight than Bakole. He is fighting Zhang in the hope that Usyk retires after his next fight.

At the time Kuzim was highly rated. It was a fantastic win.

Hughie Fury, Callum Smith, Terry Flanangan all dull as dishwater and got world title fights. Martin would be the first Black African world heavyweight champion (that I can think of), Africa is a huge continent and has massive market potential. He is more marketable than Miller (drug cheat) and Chisora (wife beater) combined. He is much more than a "Congolese guy living in Scotland".

No chance of that. You could see with his forced altercation with Dillian Whyte in Poland. It didn't work. He's a crap talker

9 out of 10 fighters have had close fights in their career against people they shouldn't have had trouble with, many of them on multiple occasions. It happens. Kuzmin wasn't even a bad fighter either.

Bakole has convincingly beaten people who are better than Kuzmin.

Yeah Kuzmin is quite good, and underrated. But I'd say only Jared Anderson is a better win for Bakole, Kuzmin is his 2nd best 'win' imo.

Ajagba v Bakole is a massive fight for Africa and the winner against Dubois bigger again. Imagine Martin taking the heavyweight title on a tour of Africa's great capitals, Kinhasa, Lagos, Accra etc or a voluntary defence against Ngannou in Yaounde. These would be mega events of the size not seen since the rumble in the jungle.

Got to be at least 10 who'd put him away in 5 at heavyweight.

Ennis vs Ortiz Jr interesting fight, 2 fighters who arguably robbed Ukrainian's in their last fights.

Maybe they have should put Bakole on in Tartan Shorts and put him on in shows in Scotland and tried to promote him as an adopted Scot :D

After all, it's Billy Nelson training him up there, that's got him where he is now.
