with the surpressents i eat 2000-3000 calories a day, as well i eat **** tons of shrimp cod chicken hard boiled eggs and prunes. Protien is good and prunes help me **** after long runs like 8-10 miles. prune juice tastes like crap dried prunes are what i eat.....i think of them like big raisens i also find it alot easier not to eat before bed even though i took the surpressent 12 or so hours earlier. inittially i droped from 208 to 190 with the surpressent with in 2 weeks and stayed between 190 and 195 dropping about .2 -.5% bf a week going from 208 lbs and 22% bf in july to 192 lbs at 17.8% bf now.
OP, learn some self control, add in a few cheat meals a week (I mean about 3 if needed) and ignore all the bull**** Ylem says. The advice Lefty gave was the best, more protein fills you up and drinking water helps as the feelings of thirst can be mistaken for the feelings of being hungry. Ylem, don't try and get others to take the bull**** you do. There's no need whatsoever for this guy to take apetite supressents. Maybe you feel the need for them with your lack of self control, but don't try to push drugs onto others.
Wow, you're clver... It's because of idiots like you people die taking these drugs. You don't know this kid, he may have mental problems and you're trying to push him onto drugs. People overdose on these things all the time and then there's the side effects. You're just so ****ing dumb it's unbelievable.
site one example of a person who died taking hoodia....or even proven side effects? aside from being less hungry.
All comes down to self discipline. I have a food journal so I always write down what I am eating or plan to eat. This way I find I am always concious of my food intake so I don't eat too much or too little and can see if I have anything missing from my regular diet. I do a cheat meal and a cheat snack on the weekends. I find I am more likely to keep to a clean diet during the week knowing I have a reward for my discipline at the end of the week. As others have said a high protein diet is proven to suppress your appetite making you less likely to binge. I would personally avoid appetite suppressants as I have read to many horror stories and seen too many documentaries about the side effects of long term use of these products which are not regulated in anyway.
ive seen documentarys on the long term effects of appatite surpressents....like coke and meth epherrdine hydroycut hardcore...horrible lookin people emeciated wih all kinds of open sores..... but not once have i seen one on hoodia maybe you could point me to some youtube video documentarys on the long term side effects of hoodia.
Makes no differene, it's a drug, it's not needed. What's the point of spending money on those drugs then becoming dependant on them? You have to come off them sooner or later then you'll be back to eating whatever again. Best idea is learn self control, this is a good thing to have in life anyway but some people just need a shortcut in life I suppose.
so your whole hes going to get hooked overdose and die isnt really valid.....so you just avoid that you were wrong once again and move on......lol your pathetic.... some people have mental problems.....they like food and have a cronic over eating problem, they eat when their bored, for some reason they think the more they eat the faster they recover.....these are things that can take more self control then something like quiting smoking or more self control then getting over bulemia. some people need rehab and some people need alittle help.
Doubt anyone has died from it as it is a relatively new supplement. But like most supplements their has been no real research done on it in terms of the long term side effects. Sibutramine was deemed safe then they discovered it gave people heart attacks. The original formula for Hydroxycut was deemed safe then the FDA withdrew the product as is caused liver damage. Fact is until any major long term research is done you don't know what it will do to you in the long term. This is one of the reasons why some organisations are now calling for most supplements to be banned until the active ingredients can be proven safe.
1. There's a difference between addiction and thinking you need to take a drug as you feel it help your weight loss. I didn't use the word addiction for that very reason, but hey, if you don't understand... 2. You can overdose on something and not die, dumbass. I'm going to do something that may shock you, Ylem, and admit I may have been wrong about dying on Hoodia. Hydrocut has a very bad name in the supplement industry, they had to recall all but 2 of their supplements off the market as they were dangerous to healt. I thought Hoodia was the same. However there are thought to be severe side effects on the liver taking those drugs. Is it really worth the risk and wasting money? And how exactly am I pathetic?
you dont get adicted to it....though you do realize that you need to continue taking it if you want to continue loosing fat at the same rate you did. if you stop taking it your not compelled to continue taking it and one can very easily maintain their current weight with exercise. and fine you can overdose with out dieing. risk: per my origional post i point out that 1/4 of the daily reccomended doasge is more then enough and what i take. so the risk is 1/4 less then it is taking the reccomended dosage. as sans bush men have been taking the hoodia in plant form for hundredes of years id say even less risk then. i would not recommend taking the synthetic hoodia which has barely been around. the hydroxycut hoodia garuentess the hoodia to be 100% real from south africa. wasteing money : the bottle costs 25$ and taking 1 pill a day will last for 2 months as i stated in my origional post. just starting on my third bottle since july so thats about 50$ barely 60$ if you factor in what ive used of this third bottle 60$ for 18lbs less fat and 4% less body fat. id say its worth it when i can stop and maintain the weight or continue and continue to lose weight.....other people might not. calling me wrong when in the event your wrong you just ignore it makes you pathetic. though in admitting your wrong i appologize for calling you pathetic in my previous post.
A guy your size probably needs around 4000 calories to maintain, probably more depending on how active you are. Drop too much below that and you're going to struggle with any intense sort of exercise. Probably explains your obssession with slow twitch fibres and long runs, can't handle anything else. A 3 hour workout? Anybody who needs 3 hours to workout doesn't know what they are doing. Honestly Ylem I think the best thing for you to do is try some short intense exercise and don't worry about what you eat for awhile. See what happens. When you gain muscle mass you raise your BMR so you burn more energy when you're doing nothing. You need to open up your mind and try something different, you train hardcore and take supplements and it obviously isn't working for you. Think quality over quantity. The way you train and eat is basically making you a poor long distance runner with a limited store of fuel. Don't be stubborn, listen to some advice and try things for yourself. Honestly, taking supplements? Maybe it makes you feel like an athlete but there is no need for them. More fibre, protein and water is what a nutritionist would recommend to someone who is trying to suppress their appetite so I don't know why you would say it's stupid advice. I'm sure everyone has had experiences of bingeing with food, when you deprive yourself of something you want it more. The key is to not be too harsh on yourself and just be aware of your energy needs. An active person can eat more. If you want to lose weight without losing too much strength you need to drop weight gradually, you don't want to drop your calories by too much below your BMR and it's a good idea to do some strength training at the same time to minimise muscle loss. The way you train and eat you'll keep losing weight but you'll be making yourself weaker all the time, you'll be burning up the amino acids in your body for fuel on a 2000 calorie a day diet, that combined with your slow training is just turning you into a poorer athlete who will put on weight easily whenever you eat properly again. All because you are stubborn and ignorant. Supplements? Study some basic nutrition first.
so all professional boxers dont know what their doing? or can you name a few that dont average 3 hours a day training? protein shakes are a supplement. lets all stop taking supplements!!!!!! i guess you still havnt grasped the difference between a supplement and a suppressant. i take multi vitamins that provide amino acids (along with l-glutamine for recovery), and i do intense intervals on the bag almost every day. do you plan to make more assumptions of what i do and dont do along with more assumptions on what i do and dont do result in? what if the person binged all their life when ever they were bored.....water protein and fiber isnt going to stop them from eating when their bored. protein water and fiber is shitty advice for some one who has a problem with binging while good advice for some one whos fat and wants to stop eating as much.
Nutrition wise? 99% no. Even boxing training most don't know what they're doing, they're just doing what they're told to do. They are being trained in different forms through the day and they also eat to compensate for it. You're starting to get the idea. Protein shakes are ok as it's not harmful in any way. Also, some people just can't get enough protein, this is the only time you really need to have protein shakes. This makes no difference about anything. Nobody really cares what you do in the world of Ylem. That's psychological, they can go see someone about thei problem or they can help themselves which would be tough but doable. Again you're talking about psychological problems... This just shows how very little you know. http://www.wheyproteinsideeffects.net/2009/12/03/can-whey-protein-act-as-an-appetite-suppressant/ http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1995802/protein_natural_appetite_suppressant.html http://www.weightlossforall.com/thirst-signal-frequent-eating.htm Just a few examples.
