Bizarre Larry Holmes encounter

My friend's uncle had an interesting experience with Larry Holmes in LA. Here is his version of events.

"I was in LAX (airport) picking up my wife and two young sons when I seen Larry Holmes of all people. suited & booted, looking confused. It turns out he couldn't get reception on his phone so I offered to drop him off at his hotel to which he reluctantly accepted.

So we get in the car, and he tells us he wants to go eat at Denny's I say fine and we go. Well his part of the bill came to $68. I swear he ate 3 grand slams and 4 more breakfasts, all by himself. and he never offered to pitch in for it. To avoid any undue awkwardness we fronted the bill. I guessed it would be worth it if I could squeeze out any boxing stories on the drive to the hotel, so off we set.

That's when it happened. Larry let this fart rip for like 3 minutes straight. I know it was that long because Shania Twain was playing on the radio and he farted pretty much the whole time. The vinyl pealed off the door of my saturn where he was sitting. It was a hot summer's day which intensified the smell as it filled up the car. It smelled of rotten eggs and death. The whole situation turned very awkward very fast, as both me and my wife went silent and didn't know where to look. It didn't seem to bother Larry as he reached forward and turned off the station. Trying not to make the situation any more awkward, we didn't roll down the windows. That's when my 14 month old son started screaming in the back of the car. My other ten year old son said, "daddy I don't feel well". I said "son, it's ok. We are nearly home. It must have been the burger you had at Denny's". Despite the mayhem surrounding him, Larry was just sitting their grinning like nothing had happened. In the next fifteen minutes that followed, Larry was farting on a bi-minute basis. He even started doing tunes with them. My 14 month old son had been sick several times and my 10 year old was still feeling groggy.

We arrived at the hotel and all got out the car to stretch our legs. Larry thanked us for the lift and as he turned to leave, he dropped one of his wallet. As he bent down to pick it up right in front of my wife, he let out this almighty fart that must have been 105 decibels. You could see the molecules coming from his anus as they landed on my wife's chest who was several inches behind him. My wife started crying hysterically which led to my 14 month old son to start screaming. My 10 year old was bent over at the hip spewing his lungs out. This was all happening while Larry was walking away clicking his fingers at one of the hotel staff to take his suitcase.

Since then, I had my Saturn put in for repairs to the vinyl and had it power washed by a specialised cleaning company. Unfortunately, remnants of the smell had remained and we had to get the car destroyed. I'm now without a car and my ten year old has been moved back a year in school due to slow learning which we think has a direct correlation to what happened in that car.
