atsch JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESUS CHRIST! Ok I cant tell if you are joking, but BJ would be more than a match for Aoki on the ground to. I just think he'd enjoy knocking him out more. Anyway a sort summary of BJ's credentials in BJJ from Wiki
I was at work :nono BJs credentials looks very exceptional, but Aoki is also a blackbelt in both BJJ and Judo, and has submitted someone in over half of his career MMA fights, used grappling methods rarely seen in MMA, and very hard to see coming or defend. Maybe I am a fanboy but being the first non-Brazilian to win BJJ Worlds still does not beat what Aoki has been able to do as a grappler in MMA.
Not as simple as that, I think its your turn actually, tell me who BJ beat and why they are better quality than Aoki's wins? I would actually be pleased to hear some actual analysis from you
I'll humour you Matt Hughes - Former WW Champ an ATG in MMA Give me 1 win better than that and I'll add some more
Again not as simple, Aoki has never had the chance to face an opponents of better quality, but his accumulation of quick submissions against established fighters has really no equivalent today. He has submitted Hansen, Alvarez Kawajiri and Hirota, all in the first round, all former champions. He also was succesful with the gogoplata twice, that's not because the RNC was not possible, that is because he was that much better than his opponents.
Are you saying a gogoplata is a "better" submission than a RNC? You will have to tell Marcelo Garcia that: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DanWm-wqwwo[/ame]
C'mon now Marcello Garcia is one of the best BJJ fighters in the world. And Aoki hasnt had the chance to face better opposition than Hansen....
