What was the offer? Do we even know for certain? And what did BJS make for Lee? Was he really offered 5 or 6 times that amount?

If that's true, and the extra dates come with accommodating guaranteed minimum purses, that sounds pretty sweet to me - although I again concede, I have no idea what BJS's purse looked like against Lee.

Ggg doesn't handle himself like a champ, more like a hungry challenger.

yup HBO do put minimims on futures..but behind the scene we have frank using BJS as leverage on getting sky ppv to accomidate him on future bouts...its a big gamble frank is playing cos if sky say no no then BJS looses out on his biggest payday..K2 wont wait for him...

Exactly my thinking. This clown Saunders I haven't even heard of before GGG mentioned him. This guy is UK level and can be happy to sell out small venues against local competition like OSullivan and similar bums.

Has anyone ever confirmed the numbers you stated?

And was that 3-4 million British Pounds or USD?

What if he wins 2 or 3 title defenses for between $1-1.5 million USD and than lands a fight with Canelo? Surely that would amount to greater potential career earnings than facing Golovkin now and losing. No?

You seem to embrace an extremely narrow scope when it comes to evaluating the sport, Barcham. But whatever floats your boat.

And incidentally, Kovalev and Stevenson hold no belts at SMW. They are LHWs.

Hhmmm... IMO BJS was offered this fight backed by HBO $$$ MONEY .

This is likely to be BJS's only gasp at the brass ring...

tuff decision for BJS... not so much fore his manager.
