If Loma had the $ behind him that Canelo has he doesn’t lose that decision. That’s the problem. Saunders will probably have some success but it won’t be reflected in the cards. Kovalev boxed Canelo’s face off for most of 10 rds and was still behind on the cards before the stoppage.
I always root for the underdog so I'd love for BJS to win... but I think this will ultimately come down to conditioning. You've got one of the few boxers who stays in shape year round versus a guy who ate himself out of his best weight class and was drawing cruiserweight jokes not too long ago. Billie Joe's got huevos sin duda, but figurative heart can't compensate for a rigoruously trained anatomical heart at this level. I think he'll sweep the first 3-4 rounds in electric fashion then hit a wall... boxing is an endurance sport and the best shape of a guy who only recently whipped himself into best shape is not gonna be enough to beat that of the guy who continuously improves upon his previous best shape. Hope I'm wrong though.
