Arum is a mouth. The guy is always jackin his jaw like he runs the sport. He's a major player, but thank goodness he has competition.

I agree, I was trying to respond to Arum critics who were arguing his remarks are invalid because they were formed from self-interest. Just because he was acting in self-interest does not mean he is wrong, and that why I called him a hypocrite.

The sport of boxing will be better then he finally croaks, Don King gets crucified but somehow Arum gets a free pass.

All he does is cry and whine yet he has done most the damage to make boxing a niche sport, he has had contracts with ESPN, Versus and all he feeds them is absolute **** mismatches.

It's obvious he was on top when boxing started to be mostly PPV and fights in Vegas, we need to look outside the box. Delahoya might be a cross dressing douche bag but the guy has been promoting some of the biggest fights of the last 2 years. And his track record is he has helped boxing more then hurt it, I can't say the same for Arum.

Definition of promoter? Like it or not, they keep the sport going. You think boxing is declining in popularity now? Take away the promoters and I'll bet it goes down faster. Money = public interest. That is why the money is there.

Wrong! promoter act in there own best interest .
Its the boxer's manager thats suppose look out for the best interest of his client/fighter.
It well documented or well known that promoter make money by paying the fighter or fighters the least amount of money he can .

which is pretty much why Joe Vs Pavlic didn't happen, Joe has just freed himself of long time promoter Warren , and with no promoter or middle man Joe is set to dictate his share of the profit of his next fight , This is where Roy Jones fits perfectly like joe he has no promoter to dictate profit of the fights. The fight will take place in whales where both fighters are considered legends , very smart fight move IMO..

not really if take away the promoters , you would more then likely see the fights you want to see , because the negotiation would be between the fighters themselves with out promoter interference .

did you see the stadium in whales when Joe fought Lacy , it was ****ing pack to the rafters , and did you see how many fan came from manchester to see ricky ..
It all equates too the fan across the pond love boxing just as much as they love beer , and they really love the two together.
Face it they (United KIngdom) seem to love the sport more then we do in the U.S.

but you may be right about the fight taking place at the MSG

OK. You missed it. WHALES are animals. Like the big fish that swallowed Jonah. WALES is a country, part of the UK.
