He's just mad Calzaghe is taking a fight with Jones instead of Pavlik.. Arum does make the best fights, but you've also got to look at a few things.. Cotto fighting Gomez was basically a tune-up for Margarito.. I mean Cotto just got done fighting Mosley & Judah.. Why can't he take a easy fight? Pacquiao just came off a close win against JMM to fight Diaz for the WBC title at 135.. I don't see a problem with that.. It was his first fight at 135 and it was for a title.. Now everybody is booked and Pac is trying to get a fight now.. In the future, Arum will have the biggest fights made.. Pacquiao vs Hatton.. Cotto vs Margarito is coming up.. Pavlik vs Abraham/Calzaghe.. I don't have a problem with what Arum is doing at all..
You bring up very good pts some of his fighters do deserve a soft fight evrey now and then ,And I myself didn't have problem with those fights but this one I do only for the simple fact that this could ruin Williams ..
I don't agree with Pavlik vs Williams.. Pavlik is a MW and Williams is a WW and Pavlik will murder him and it could ruin Williams' career.. I'd much rather see Pavlik vs Mora or Pavlik vs Wright.. Williams should just stay at 147 or maybe even move up to 154, but 160 and he's dead I think.. Pavlik vs Abraham is the fight that needs to happen at 160 though above all..
I understand that Abraham is tied up with a mando ,Winky im sure wants good money ...But I don't belive Paul Williams is the only person they could find .Hell doesn't Kelly have any mandos ? Is there anyone ranked in the top 10 that they could get im sure there are enough middles and jr middles to keep him busy ..If its about money Arum will eventually get it becaus Pavlik is becoming more and more popular ..
