from what i read, pacs wasn't returning calls to roach or arum, and they were left in the dark a lot of the time, but they were talking to the internet press about it all the time.

I think, (and its perfectly clear to see) that Arum knew full well Pac was not worth a penny more than 50 percent of the purse......and thats taking into account the bonus he gets as the pound for pound king.

Arum is a shrewd guy with all the insight, if Pac was bringing in more he would have pushed for every dollar. Yes, the promoter is meant to push and haggle for his fighter, but if its for money he clearly aint bringing in, and putting a multi million dollar payday for everybody in jeopardy, he should make his fighter see sense. Which is all Arum did here.

Pac got his moral victory when he was offered 52%, if the dumb **** cant agree to that then fair enough. Hatton and his team cannot be blamed here, they had every right to walk away. I'm gutted they did, but its Pac's fault entirely.

He has been an absolute ****, I hope he gets a kicking from whoever he fights next, for a crappy payday.

  4. Yes they are. I've also noticed that grass is green and the sky is blue.

I think as a promoter of Pacquiao, he did a poor job handling the situation. He says "well what can I do, I can't hold a gun to his head or at his people", but that's a weak excuse. If I were Arum, I've been in The Philippines from the beginning and make it clear face to face.

Pacquiao and his stupid team are the greedy ones here, but Arum still did a poor jub waiting at the fax machine, and I find it quite funny how he's trying to clean his name. Yes, it's your fault too Bobby!

Failed in the very first sentence here. It has been stated many times Manny WAS in on the negotiations. Then he goes home and his advisers there get his ear. This has been in thread after freaking thread after freaking thread......

I'd go with that. I think Arum could've still pulled the 'fat out of the fire' with this one. But he shouldn't have really had to in the first place.

Arum doesn't make any sense by slagging off his own fighter who is going to make him a lot of money if the fight happens. Either he is being very foolish or is making a calculated effort to hype up the fight.

Arum can't be blamed for Pac not taking the fight. Arum himself is disgusted with Pac... he even raised Pac's guaranteed purse to 12 million before PPV revenue. Arum himself has said "I don't know what else he wants me to do. He is going to go back go making 2-3 million a fight, and might have to sit out the rest of the year".

Sometimes hard to glean the truth, but this has the 'right feel' to it.

Manny was in on the negotiations? Many times? :think

    Source please?

Atty Gacal, Roach and Arum were the ones who attended the meeting last December where the 50/50 split purse was discussed and agreed on.

. . . but if you can post a link saying otherwise . . . it would clear up the arguement. :deal

Yes Arum is disgusted with Pac and his team because he can't make his way around them.

. . . bottom line . . . Arum shouldn't have commited to anybody without consuling with the man himself.

As a promoter he takes the offer . . . present it to his man . . . go back to the other party and present a counter offer . . . that's what a promoter is suppose to do. But no . . . he didn't do that. :deal

Just like the link you just supplied? OK. I didn't read Arum say Manny was informed and agreed. I made it all up. What difference does it make anyhow? Pac walked away from millions of $ for him and hatton both. You want to think he did the right thing, then do so. **** on boxing. Who needs these fights. I have asked MANY times now for ANY quote from Pac refuting what Arum said. NEVER got one.
