Bob Foster had a longer title reign, 1968-1974, he fought the best around in his era. Julian Jackson was a middleweight champion, who was very heavy handed. But hitting a Light Heavyweight Champion like Bob, might not have the same effect that it would against another middleweight. Foster by KO3. Bob has height, heavier punch, and reach. Sometimes you cannot take your punch with you. Know your limitations, do not move up even for your fans. If it is not broken, do not try to fix it. You will not have those fans for very long if you turn into a piece of furniture, all forgotten.
Whew!! that's what I remembered . Thanks for posting, best left hook in light heavyweight history. No light heavy shakes that off
He sure was out for a long time. Who picked up his head and dropped it back down. I guess they were trying to see if he was regaining consciousness.
Pound for pound that's entirely possible, but one thing is certain , they both resided in the same neighborhood
Jackson has a way better KO reel. They both fought tough guys and had good wins. It sounded like a shotgun went off when Jackson laid that overhand into the jaw of Terry Norris.
