Bob Foster v John Conteh 1974

    Foster retired before Conteh had a chance to fight him,even though he had a comeback later. Supposing Bob had decided to hang on for one more defence,and Conteh had fought him instead of Jorge Ahumad for the WBC crown ? I would have taken John to have won convincingly,as Bob had faded quite a bit by this point. ?

    Foster got out when he knew he had slipped with that draw with Jose A.

    I respect Conteh's ability...but I still like Foster in this.

    Teeto, you sure your thinking of Bob at this stage? He was pretty much void of what he once had by this point. I have to take John with his popping jab and short right hand counters over a shot Foster at this stage. Earlier,,,,clear ko by big Bob.
