    Why 178?

I reckon 176.5 would be fairer.

Pick em really...Foster could knock out just about anyone at the weight and had good skills. Spinks was clearly quite skilled and awkward but people tend to forget he could really really punch at the weight too.

I tossed a coin once to determine to winner of this fight..Foster won 3-2..So Ill will go with Bob to get the win. They are quite evenly matched IMO, I dont think thats an unreasonable way to split them to tell you the truth... :)

Personally I would go for 12 stone 8lbs 8 ozs myself.;)

Either way, I take The Jinx to fight cautiously and gain the close 15 round nod.

I don't remember this fight being looked at on here for a while and thought that it would stir more interest than it has so far. Both guys were great, but I would take michael in an exciting fight..each guy would have his moments and I would see foster taking an early lead and spinxs taking control in the Middles rds and the Spinx jinx ending the fight in 8 or 9

It's not like they need a catchweight.

I agree. This is one of the few fights I can get my head around. I could see it going either way. I wish there was more vintage Spinks film floating around on Youtube (vs Mustafa Muhammed, Qawi).

Could be Foster IMO, but who knows, The Spinz Jinx would definitely fell Foster.

However, I see Spinks boxing cautiously to start off with, trying to wrap up a pretty successful round with an impressive flurry and BAM Foster puts his lights out with a beast of a left hook.

I think i'd go with Foster more often than not

Spinks fights a bit too safely and tended to punch in bunches rather than keep a consistent output.Foster woudl end up dictating the fight and keep him a bit too cautious about opening up imo.

Both could quite suddenly KO the other, but if it goes the distance it'll be Foster winning 7\8 times out of 10 .

Foster takes a majority, in my opinion.

I believe that amateur boxing's light heavyweight division is 178. Maybe it was just a bit of slip. I think Holyfield medaled there(bronze).

I thought I'd be going against the grain when I read the thread title. I guess that's why they stitch the threads, since they can't fight this fight.

    Foster by decision.
